About Us
The Friends of Michaux State Forest foster the preservation and enhancement of the forest’s recreational, cultural, and natural resources. We formed in 2019 and are a committed group of volunteers working to fulfill our mission. We are a chapter of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation.
We work closely with Pennsylvania DCNR staff at the Michaux State Forest to complete on-the-ground projects, and perform outreach and education to foster an ethic of stewardship across all users of the state forest.
